The Mesozoic era was a time when danger lurked at every turn. Huge, menacing monsters occupied the Earth at that time, ruling over land, water, and air. Small mammals were suppressed and forced to live in the shadow of the great reptiles.
Fortunately, those times are long gone.
Are we sure?
What if dinosaurs are still alive?
What if a tyrannosaurus rex could be found on the London Underground, and a triceratops proudly strolled down the Champs Elysees? Would they live in a zoo? Would they go to work? Would a stegosaurus wear Prada or prefer Gucci?
You have to answer these questions yourself.
Pencils in hand and paper on the desk!
Show us the world of dinosaurs that are still alive!

rysunek satyryczny dinozaura, rys. Tomasz Niewiadomski, 2021Tomasz Niewiadomski, 2021

Era mezozoiczna to czas, kiedy niebezpieczeństwo czaiło się na każdym kroku. Ogromne, groźne potwory okupowały wówczas Ziemię, panując na lądzie, w wodzie i powietrzu. Małe ssaki były tłamszone i zmuszane do życia w cieniu wielkich gadów.
Na szczęście, te czasy już dawno minęły.
Czy na pewno?
A jeśli dinozaury nadal żyją?

The competition has been decided!
We received almost 700 works, which significantly exceeded our expectations. The level was very high, and our Jury consisting of: members of the Association of Polish Caricature Artists - Dariusz Łabędzki - chairman of the Jury, Dariusz Pietrzak, Tomasz Niewiadomski (President of SPAK), representatives of the E. Lipiński Caricature Museum - Paweł Płoski (Director of the Caricature Museum) and Michał Rzecznik and the Geological Museum of the Polish Geological Institute - Magdalena Sidorczuk (Head of the Geological Museum) and Robert Bronowicz, faced a really hard choice.

The DINOSAURS. Still alive? satirical drawing competition combines fields that seem very distant from each other. However, exact sciences and art are interconnected, and paleontology is a science in which facts meet sense, vision and interpretation. The combination of forces of scientists and artists is exceptional, and the fruits of this cooperation bring wonderful scientific discoveries and extraordinary artistic achievements.

The DINOSAURS. Still alive? competition is international in nature, addressed to citizens of countries belonging to the European Union, EU candidates and former members and countries that are members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The winners will receive cash prizes, invitations to participate in the Award Ceremony at the Geological Museum in Warsaw, opening of the exhibition of distinguished works, and invitations to participate in a trip to the paleontological site in Borkowice in Mazovia, Poland.
